Neowin has this awesome freeware alternative list. I found it a few months ago and it
has been extremely useful to me. So, I think it's time to share the wealth. :wink:

My personal favorites from here are Mozilla (my favorite), OpenOffice (throw away that dirty Microsoft Office!), and The Gimp (one of the most advanced open source programs I have ever seen).

The list has practically everything in every topic in computing. It's great.

Oh yeah, sorry Elyubarov, there aren't any programs for Linux except the ones that have been ported to Windows. Tough break. :P

Your favorites mozilla, gimp, open office.org are all for linux. There are plenty of freeware for linux. www.freshmeat.net is good. Also on like the distro's website they have all the packages, and there's alot. all open source and free.
