So for everyone who is moving up in math in trig, they either got the code MPC1 or MA91. Both course names say Pre-Calculus though.

Is there a difference in these two classes? Because normally different classes have different codes...

Different teachers.. GUESS

Teachers aren't decided yet. Codes are by what the class is, teachers have no effect on the code.

MPC1 might be multivariable calculus because I know MA91 is Pre-Calculus/Calculus. You can't take multivariable until after you've taken AP Calculus so that might be a mistake. There was a mix up with the math classes and they are currently fixing it.

Oh sorry, I found out an answer yesterday.

MPC1 is going to be a full year of pre-calculus
MA91 is going to be a full year of calculus.

Why are they separating them this year? MPC1 did not exist this year, only trig honors and MA91 existed

I talked with a math teacher and he told me that because many kids did poorly in MA91, if they had low grades in trig now by taking a full year of pre-calc before advancing to calc it can help them improve their skills. But you can also go straight from trig into MA91.

I think seeing if this format works well will be interesting.

Oh I see, yeah maybe this format will work better. I went from regular trig to AP Calc AB, but did not have a lot of trouble in calculus

MA91 never worked well in my day, because the good calculus teachers would teach AP. Hopefully that's changed.
But today you just read that the man was shot dead
