I just got accepted in AP World History and I wanted to know a few things about it. How challenging is the class? How challenging is the AP exam? Is there a lot of h.w.? Is there a lot of writing for the class? Thanks!

Depends on who you get. If you get Stevens then you're going to be able to breeze through the AP exam with no sweat. Unless you haven't done your homework, taken notes, or study occasionally. The class requires a lot of memorization and analyzing skills. Especially analyzing. You will get homework everyday from Stevens. There will definitely be a lot of writing for the class. You have three essays to write for the AP exam.

I pretty much agree with what clement already posted; there's a ton of writing in AP World classes in the form of essays, notes and the occasional hw. Your workload depends on which teacher you get, but from what I've come to understand, they all teach really well and at the end of the day, you'll feel confident (somewhat) about taking the AP exam. My personal recommendation: take good notes and review them from time to time, knowledge will come in handy!

Don't let tests scare you. They're there to help you gauge how much you know and don't know.
It depends on teachers. My teacher, Mr. Stevens gives one at the end of every 3 chapters (?) and at the end of each unit. I don't know if the other teachers follow this format but you'll have around 12-14 tests throughout the year.
