Some really dumb teachers who let you play tanks and halo every day in class and give you an 80. <-----100% serious
lol, thanks! And I'm guessing you didn't have a good experience with D.E. this year.

I don't know how different D.E. is from the Electricity course I took Sophomore year, but some of the teachers are not so bright on the subject but it's a pretty simple course. The only reason people don't understand it or do bad in it is because they don't pay attention or just fool around. As long as you pay attention a bit and comprehend the subject, it's an easy 100.

I heard if you've taken physics already it would be helpful but I don't really even know much about the class to see how it would be. I remember seeing one of my friends drawing out circuits but it wasn't anything like I've learned in freshmen physics :/
Can anyone actually elaborate on what you do in the class?

Here is the link to the course syllabus. I hope it helps.

Compared to DDP is it harder :O?
They're too different to compare.
DDP is more technical.
DE involves more math and thinking.

Simply put, Digital Electronics is all about understanding some rules about circuits/currents, understanding how things work and then designing circuits and other things. It's very similar to DDP, you still have a design program (Multisim replaces Inventor in this class) and you still have those fun worksheets from RIT that show you designs and requires you to make it on the computer... same kinda stuff. Depending on the teacher you get, assignments, tests and other work gets harder/difficult- while I think most of the teachers are cool, some teachers are not so cool.
Expect these kind of things: Same kinda work, teacher determined workloads and two big tests throughout the year.
Hope you have as much fun as I did!

DE is pretty cool, I guess. But its gets harder and more confusing as the year goes... We start with circuits (parallel and series) and end with Synch counters and State machines. I had a good teacher this year, but he was reallly reallly really strict on grades >.< Oh yeah, btw be prepared for breadboarding. It's...probably going to be the most memorable thing youre going to do soph year. Its also the most depressing/ frustrating thing too-- depending on teacher. (I stayed in school until 8:00pm for that) X_X
Also, the work in that class in cumulative so you have to understand everything from the beginning orelse youll get really lost.....
Good luck
