I have some questions about AP Euro, like how far into European history does the course go into?
Does anyone know the name of the teacher(s) that teach it (out of curiosity)?
And honestly how hard is the class and AP test?
Thank you :D

I was in AP Euro this past year :)
AP Euro goes from the renaissance up into present day.
This year I know there were only 3 AP Euro classes, and Mrs.Solomon taught all of them (but that's not a 100% guarantee for next year)
The class was pretty hard. Every night we would have between 5-30 pages of outlining in our textbook. And test about once a week.
And it was very fast paced, never spending more than one day on a topic really.
The AP test consisted of 80 multiple choice, 2 thematic essays, and 1 DBQ essay.
Though I didn't personally enjoy European History as much as I thought I would, it still was a great class to take and I did learn a lot. I found going into depth more interesting than having a brief history of the whole world.
Enjoy it next year :)

It depends on the person really. I don't understand why most people say AP European is harder but it might have to do with it being so specific (all these Louis and Georges and Alexanders...) I loved European history though, particularly the topic on the French Revolution. Ironically, the French Revolution was the topic I was the most confused about in the beginning and it was because of all the social, political, and economic problems that went into it. Anyhow, Ms. Solomon is a great teacher. Just because the course is concentrated on European history, you'll get enough out of it to do well on the Global regents.
It's true you'll have to do a lot of outlines but a lot of people ended up getting them online (I was not one of these people). But if you've done the reading and understand most of it, that's enough. In my year, I don't think many people got 5's though, only because they started putting in a whole bunch of quotation questions that we hadn't expected in the multiple choice. Ms. Solomon didn't cover a lot about DBQs with us so just make sure you know that you are not summarizing the sources but that you are to answer the question with your own knowledge, using the sources to provided to help you as a memory trigger and as evidence.
A good review book that Ms. Solomon recommended was 5 Steps to a 5.

AP Euro was only really difficult because it was a lot of material and not that much time. The tests were a little challenging and you'll probably only get anywhere from 65-85, but Ms. Solomon understands that this is a harder course and as long as you do the homework and participate every once in a while, you should easily get at least a 90 in her class.

It's almost certain that Solomon will be teaching the class. The homework, taking notes on the textbook reading, is more annoying than difficult. I don't think it really matters if you do it yourself or get it online, as long as you read the textbook. 65 - 85 does seem to be the average for most of the tests. However, most tests are curved during the first semester. Don't worry too much about it, most people get a 90 for the class, even after failing tests and stuff.
