Does anyone happen to know how often the Track & Field team meets per week, & on which days it does?
Thanks
Thanks

Almost all teams meet daily during the season with games/meets on weekends as well. Track is actually three seasons (Indoor, Outdoor, X-Country). Most sports are very time consuming and you cannot be a part-time athlete on a competitive team.

Contact Coach Monti-Wohlpart at tmonti@bths.edu or (917) 403-8105 for any questions you might have.

One more question, what if the team have practice of the day of the club meetings?
Ok, I encountered a similar problem this year. If you talk to the coach and tell him that you'll have miss a day for a club he'll understand. Also, if the club meeting ends at lets say 4:30, you'll still have time to make it to practice.

I emailed tmonti@bths.edu as it says on the BTHS website, requesting to join Track and Field. I received a reply, saying " PROSPECTIVE FRESHMEN CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER: " I'm a little confused... It also says
" Medical consent form (guide to complete the medical form is attached):
---Complete all items at the top and indicate "cross country" as a sport (others like "track/field" on other line) "
I'm want to join Track and Field... not cross crountry... What do? Are they considered the same?

NO, cross country and track and field are not the same thing. Track and Field refers to Indoor and Outdoor track and field. Indoor starts in the winter and outdoor starts in the spring. When you email tmonti@bths.edu I believe that's to sign up for Cross Country. If you want to join indoor and outdoor track, I believe there will be an announcement about it or something on the website when it starts

I understand that, but the sport this announcement is referring to is Cross Country. It's a bit misleading but the *Track and Field* really means Cross Country. And, I was wrong, some may consider Cross Country a part of Track and Field. But Cross Country is running outdoors on grass and dirt and, running long distance, meaning 1.5 miles and a 5k (3.1 miles)
