You will learn to love calc more than precalc.
precalc takes you back to good ol' geometry. Lots and lots of proofs.
Calc will just give you formulas.

In my opinion, Calculus is easier than pre-calculus.

...I may be confused but I took geometry, algebra2/trig, regular calculus, and will take ap calc.
According to my teacher, we (in regular calculus) only covered 1/4 of the ab curriculum.

Yes, regular Calculus only covers a small portion of AP AB Calculus I believe. After regular Calculus, students take AP AB Calculus or AP BC Calculus. I took regular Calculus last school year and I am taking AP BC Calculus this upcoming school year.

The Pre-Calc / Calculus (MA91) course has been redesigned. The course will now cover pre-calculus and an introduction to calculus including differential calc and elementary integration technqiues and applications. It will not be at the same rigor level as AP Calc but will provide a very solid foundation for those taking college level calc the following year (AP or at college).
