You're supposed to bring it to the attendance office and/or your guidance counselor so they know it's an excused absence in case it ever comes into question.

If it's only for one or two days, don't even worry about it. Just show your teachers a simple note from one of your parents so they know you weren't cutting. Let them sign it and just throw the note out. If they don't believe the note, then let them call your parents.

If it's a serious situation and you're out for a week or more, then you should really contact the school and bring in a real doctor's note.

Oh okay. I was curious because I had a doctors appointment I couldn't change that was on the 14th of September.

The maps they had on the website were small and hard to read. For some reason, I recall NickC posting a map (or wanting to post a map) on the forums...

My free periods are 10 and 11 so does that mean I can leave earlier? Can I leave and come back into the school during that time?

Please don't hijack :)

Freshmen do not have 10th and no one has 11th period.
The only people who have 10th are juniors and seniors who have a lot of classes. 10th period is usually when clubs meet so yes you can leave and comeback to school for club/team meetings. The easier way to re-enter the school is through the east side by south Elliot, since all you do is flash your tech ID by the security guards and your ready to go, other areas can cause some hassle

He asked all of those who wanted a map to post their e-mails and he'll send the map to you.
I used to have it but then i accidentally deleted it...
It was a really nice map, too.

xMrStrife had a cute little map up here a few days ago...
But seriously you won't be needing a map to navigate the school, you'll get used to it in a week. The school is a simple square eight shape, with each side being North, East, South, West, and the Center section(the 5th floor's center section is a library, there for you cannot cross through there to get from east to west and vise-versa).

Similar to Mark Twain! Perfect.

Brooklyn Tech and Mark Twain bear many striking resemblances, IMO, and not just in terms of architecture. If you went to Twain, then you won't have a hard time transitioning into Tech.

1) If I have gym first period, which classroom should I choose my locker in?

2) I've already taken bio and I'm a gateway student, is it possible to transfer out of that course? I heard people in gateway pretty much have a "block" program.

3) What's on the 9th floor and where is the gateway lounge?

4) How many clubs can you join?

5) When do the narwhals bacon?

Any help is appreciated :D

As long as you passed the regents you can take the next level of math, which in this case be Pre-calc/Calc. I'm sure that your guidance counselor will talk to you about it.
So no, you do not have to retake all of the regents.
