I've heard the park next to BTHS is dangerous and people get mugged there so I'm planning on getting rid of my first gen ipod and Nokia brick phone.

I'd stay away from the park if I were you, that's out of the jurisdiction of the school safety guys. Forget your iPod or Nokia phone, you could probably get kidnapped by a bear. ._.

Then again I've never been to that park before.

It's not as bad as the staff says it is, but I don't suggest going there alone. It's much more fun and safer to travel there in a group.

it's a great place to get rid of old stuff, i gave a mugger my old phone last year

The park can be dangerous but nothing has ever happened to me yet....

It's not that bad as long as you stay on the Tech side.
I used to spend my 9th period on the lawn waiting for clubs.
Source: I've been hanging out in it since freshman year. Haven't gotten into any trouble yet. However, a couple of my friends were mugged near the Dekalb Station.

Don't go looking for trouble though.
Do what Jae said and save the iPod until you buy a new one.
Why don't you try selling your old stuff first? You might not even make much but smarter than trying to get yourself mugged.
Unless you want a mugged in freshmen year story...

I'm in the park all the time, it's not that bad. No point in going there alone anyway.
