I have 2 free periods next week (Thurs/Fri) for gym.

On days when I have a free period, do I still need to come to school early? Or can I sleep in and get to school before 2nd period starts? I've heard contradicting opinions etc, and I just wanted some more. Thanks.

Sleep in, that's what I did. By the way, what are the 3 projects?

If you have a free period, like if you have a 2-9 schedule rather than a 1-8 schedule, you can sleep through the 1st period and come to school for the second.
If it's something like the above example, you don't need to come. However if it is on your schedule as a class, then you'll have to attend it.

Come in for tutoring if your teachers have it first period. Otherwise, sleep in and enjoy it.

Make sure you don't have an alternating schedule first. Such as you have lab or DDP/PLTW instead of physical education for those 2 days. People tend to forget that, and they are then marked as cutting for class.

If you do not have an alternating schedule and those periods are at the beginning of your day/end of your day you can come in late/leave early.
