Just a little survey.
Can't make up my mind right now but it seems like it can only have positive effects... (unless you're failing and your parents are tech savvy)

It seems pretty neat.

I don't have much use for the assignments section since most of my teachers don't accept late work, but it seems like I'll be using the progress section quite often.

meh.
my main gripe is with the interface. i mean it's okay, but there should be a "consolidated" view where you can see all your grades at once. idk.

Yep, it seems like I could use this thing quite often. I just figured out I had a credit or two missing for some reason I don't know.

Agreed.
It's a pain clicking through all of your subjects.

Another is that the little period blocks (O 1-9, and likewise) shouldn't even be in Skedula. Am i supposed to be graded on my table manners at lunch?

Lol. It does though.
Anyway,Skedula is supposed to do what moodle and daedalus do combined and it's a bigger company so I guess the school is trying to transition to using just one site instead of paying for two.
They probably won't finish transitioning until any of us even graduate.

Skedula does not have quizzes. Engrade has quizzes. No thanks. Besides, it would be troublesome to type out all those access codes, etc., for Engrade's system.

Bumping this topic
So, apparently this system has been rolled out with lots of problems.
As one teacher says, "Skedula's grading capabilities aren't decent." They can't get Skedula to recognize that some grades are out of 40, 50, etc.
They had to get help and override some functions in order to bend Skedula into something they're able to use.
There's also something called a locking feature (?). Apparently it locks down the averages and grades so they can't be edited...
Also, "weighted" courses don't get the boost as they should.

My thoughts: Although the ability to see your grades immediately is nice, I don't appreciate seeing a 200% average in one class and a 30% in another. Headaches and lots of stress.

I wouldn't complain about a 200%. ;)

Simply said, Skedula's got bugs. Some are on Skedula's end. Some are the teachers' fault for not knowing how to use the system. Then again, nobody instructed them how. There wasn't any instructional meeting or workshop for teachers on using Skedula's interface and not all teachers are tech savvy. There may be faults on multiple sides, so give it some time to work out. Meanwhile, rely on Moodle and Daedalus for grades. Or ask your teacher directly if they don't use/update Moodle or if Daedalus isn't displaying the grades yet.

Have caution with Skedula.

If anyone is still having problems with Skedula, please fill out this survey.

https://docs.google....KSW0wZ3UzQ3c6MQ

This is connected to Mr.Fanning and he wants to find out exactly which problems students are having with skedula so we can report it to the company.
