Hey guys, I just had a general question about work permits...where do I get them?! I've been trying to talk to my guidance counselor, but the guidance counselor for Law&Society is never in her room during my lunch time. Do you know where I need to go for the permit, and what things are required to apply?

Work permit is adult stuff. You're still a HS student, so it's working "papers".

Working papers are issued through room 1W2. Go there and ask for it. You need ID, a doctor's note stating you are physically healthy to work, and your parents to do stuff for the form.

If you have trouble meeting with your guidance counselor physically, you can email them. You can submit an email form to them in the BTHS site. I tried this recently and my counselor responded the next day.

Go here to email them:

1w2 has a form you need to obtain. It has all of the instructions.

Or to save time by not going to 1W2, the form is also online.
