I have a doctors appointment on monday, and I am not sure whether I should absent the day or go to school then have my parents call or something? Is it possible to leave during school hours, for a doctors appointment or so, and do parents have to come, do I have to call, etc. I am confused on what I should do.

I think the procedure is if you are absent, you will have to print out an absent note and have your teacher sign it.
If you want to get out early, have your parents call/pick you up or something like that.

Okay, so I just have my parents call the school and I will be allowed to leave early? Do I just leave the school? Do I have to go to the office or so?

I got picked up once during 8th period for a dentist's appointment. I got a cut for the 9th period.

Apparently you have to give a note even if you get picked up. Be absent if you like, or have your parents come to pick you up.
I'm not sure what to do on the parent's side, but call the school and ask.

I like giraffes. :)

If you want to come to school and leave early, one of your parents needs to pick you up. The school can't let you leave without a parent physically being there, so they can't just call and you get to leave. The school will give you a note saying you left early to show your teachers tomorrow and you should show them your doctors note as well.

Or you can be absent the whole day and just bring your doctors note to all the teachers.

Really?
I left for a dentist appointment without ever having to call my parents or anything.
I went to the door, the security guard stopped me, asked me where I was going and asked if I had a letter or anything to prove that I really was going to the dentist.

lol you're really not supposed to, since school is responsible for you unless someone signs you out. You got lucky with the security guard. xD

So I have my parents write a note about the doctors appointment and bring it to school with me.
Have my parents call the school and come to school to pick me up. Does my parents just have to school and to the office?
I go to the office and wait for instructions?
Can't call the school, it's the weekend/holiday :(

Basically your choices are to either be absent the whole day and show your doctor's note to all of your teachers the next day, or have your parent(s) pick you up during class.

Your parents only have to ask for you and fill in some info at the security desk (NE side I believe). Your teacher will get a call for you to go down to the office, so just pack all of your things, meet them in the office and leave. Remember to get a doctor's note for the other classes that you'll be missing.

Just be absent, tell your teachers a day or so in advance. Show them a doctors note on the following day. It doesn't really matter what the system says in terms of absences, what matters is that your teachers know you have a legitimate excuse.

If you're 16 then you can legally leave school the guards can't stop you. But you;ll still need to a note to show your teachers so they don't think that you cut.

After realizing this is the freshmen section I doubt the 16 thing will be applicable to you. Also this thread is old, people don't post here often I see.
