okay. im very sorry for this. i know you guys hear this all the time. so first off i would like to start by thanking you guys for those forums about the shsat they are extremely helpful and make me feel more confident that i will actually make it into a specialized high school this year. but i still dont think confidence is enough and i am not entirely sure what ive been studying is reliable enough. ive covered the barrons book from cover to cover and i did some algebra 2 and geometry..i especially studied basic trig, Combinatorics, factorials etc. i just want to know what else should i study or if thats enough..so what should i do? i feel like i havent done enogh and i have 20 more day (i think) until i must take the exam.PLEASE HELP ME :'(
oh please excuse all gramtical errors lol

Review, review, review.
Going over a book one time isn't enough.
Give it a few more once-overs.

I would study logic. Those scramble logic paragraphs always got me.
But other than that, you seem to be doing fine. Don't over study though, just make sure you're confident when you go in to take the test.

... It's been a month since school started, how did you not get the chance to inquire for a ticket?
Go to them anyway.

Unless you're in a school which ends at 9th grade (fairly rare as far as NYC public schools go), the prevailing assumption is that you'll stay around until you graduate, move away, etc. That's probably why nobody came to talk about the SSHSAT and transferring high schools.
In the long run, I think it's a good lesson learned. For as long as you're in school (including college), get in the habit of asking proactively. Little to lose and everything to gain. (This rule might change once you're out in the workplace though, as I found out the hard way!)
