I noticed that of all the senior dues packages available, Package A (the most expensive package) is the only one that contains the yearbook. This forces everyone who wants the yearbook to fork over $180 to the school, regardless of whether or not they want to buy everything else that is in the package.
Why can't we simply buy the yearbook on its own? Why do we have to buy a whole package full of other things that students may not want -- like the key chain and major t-shirt? I think it would be fairer if seniors choose and list which items they want to buy instead of having to purchase an entire package.

It has a lot to do with buying in bulk, it's cheaper by having the Package A for the yearbook because it's cheaper to have the yearbook. The yearbook is $75 if you factor in everything else from package A. The yearbook alone is almost as much as Package C(which has only the necessity) If you do the math, it's $25 dollars for two shirts and a keychain. That's pretty cheap.

Also, by picking and choosing, that would cause a nightmare for Mr.Rafftery in the GO store.

If you really don't want Package A, there was a waiting list last year for the yearbook. It's not guaranteed you'll get one though.

I see, this answer satisfies my question. Thanks!
