How many gigs you guys got on all your computers, and what format and controller?

I got about 150 gigs on all 5 computers, about 50 gigs are FAT 32 and the rest are NTFS.

60 gb NTFS
40 gb FAT32

To wretched: Thats normal. It's because most software detects a GB as 1024 mb. To the hard drive maker, it's 1000 mb. The bigger the drive, the more you lose.

fright's correct most people think a kilobytes is 1000 bytes but its 1024, so the harddrive maker does this. btw, i seem to be the only one with ext3 partitions :-), im so special

i h8 what windows setup does, it makes sure that you can't partition the last 8mb of your hard drive :( so here's the math for how many mbs Microsoft owes us there are about 70 people for a hard drive (idk where i got this from but it's stuck in my head) so that's about
~8,000,000,000 people / ~70 = ~111,100,000
that's a lot of mbs! that's a lot of wasted memory

You can take anything and multiply by a big number and get another big number...

But 8 MB isn't really a lot. It's less than two songs.

I don't complain about the 8 mb either, it's obviously using it for something, there are bigger things wrong with MS, 8mb doesn't bother me.

One giant partition in my WD 100 GB HD for Windows XP

One giant partition in my WD 20 GB HD for Windows XP in my second computer

One giant partition in my Fujitsu 3 GB HD for Mandrake Linux in my second computer

~around 110 gigs in all.
