My plan of attack for Bombing Microsoft is to use high quality software!
A second later Bill Gates replies, "The is no emoticon for what I am feeling!"

I think that you had a one case where you might have had a corrupt hard drive from a file other than windows; thats what usually happens. You may have even had a :gasp: virus! Things like this happen. Next time, if (which it doesn't look like so) you reinstall windows, get Norton Systemworks with GoBack, which can reset your hard drive to any point in time (it refreshes itself about every hour)

Read that long, long, long service agreement you hit "I accept these terms..." and "Next" within 2 seconds when you were installing Windows.

I really just don't think an operating system just farts like that. If so, then wouldn't all of us be having this problem? You are somehow involved in the crash of your computer.

Do not load more than 0 programs at a time.
Do not press more than 1 button per minute.
Do not touch mouse.
Do not touch keyboard.
Do not touch computer.
Do not touch screen.
Do not touch power cord.
Do not touch speakers.
Do not touch any cords hocked into your computer.
Do not look at computer.
Do not talk about your computer.
Do not think about your computer.
Do not go near your computer.
Do not ever touch the POWER BUTTON.
Do not touch Windows' CD.
Failure to comply will result in an automatic crash of your system, hard drive, BIOS, motherboard, network, ISP, power, and TV. You've been warned!

Windows has the right to crash spontaneously whenever it pleases. It also has the right to destroy your hardware.
Win XP source code:
#include stdio.h
#include conio.h
#include time.h
#include !@#$header.h
int user;
int last crash;
int main () {
while (user == happy) {
blue screen();
-- happy;
checktime();
}
int checktime() {
get(time);
int crashtime;
crashtime = time - last crash;
if (crashtime > 1 min) {
do(blue screen);
}
int blue screen() {
if (user == happy) {
do(blue screen crash;
}elsif (user == sad) {
do(hardware crash);
}
}
