In 2011, Fordham was ranked 30th. If you're looking to go there, I hope you're planning to stay in New York. Even though it is a Tier 1 school, it only has regional reputation. Luckily, a majority of BigLaw headquarters are located in NY so it shouldn't be too bad.

I hope you know that most schools state that the average student graduate gets about $100,000 a year. This is a lie. There is no middle ground in law and you'll probably make $40k/yr or $160k/yr. The $160k/yr comes from mainly BigLaw and they care a lot about which law school you went to. (salaries vary a lot but $160k is typically the starting salary for BigLaw)

There is a rule of thumb that if you don't get into a T-14 ( or even T-6 ), you shouldn't go to law school. There is absolutely no market for additional lawyers coming from "bad" law schools. Fordham, as good as it seems, doesn't get many BigLaw recruiters and you'll need to finish at the top 10% of your class to be even considered.

This is just a general overview. There is so much information surrounding this topic that I'll probably be here until tomorrow typing. Go on Google and start researching if you're serious about becoming a lawyer.

Personally, I wouldn't risk dropping $200k on Fordham law. A good forum is top-law-schools.com for research. Be prepared to be disappointed because many of them will also tell you to not go to Fordham; many T-14 graduates from schools like Cornell and Georgetown aren't even getting jobs.
