About Me

I graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 2006 as a Bio-Med major and a member of the National Honor Society (NHS). I attended Hunter College, CUNY through the Teacher Academy program and was one of the very few who made it through to the end in January 2011 with a BA in Chemistry and MA in Chem. Ed.

At Hunter College, I had the honor and privilege of teaching/supervising an Organic Chemistry lab section while still being an active undergraduate student (under special waivers, as Hunter College ordinarily does not allow anybody without a Bachelor's Degree to teach any classes). I'm proud to have developed a brand new Chemistry Kinetics lab for Hunter College that is now part of the General Chemistry Lab curriculum of Hunter College.

Some Recent Highlights

Summer 2010 - Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College, taught CHEM 223 - Organic Chemistry Lab I
Fall 2010 - Student Teacher at NEST+m Upper School (Lower East Side, Manhattan) - taught Regents Chemistry
Spring 2011 - Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College, taught CHEM 106 - General Chemistry Laboratory
Summer 2011 - Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College, taught CHEM 115 - Introductory Chemistry
Fall 2011 - Spring 2012 (partial) - Substitute Teacher at NYC Lab School for Collaborative Studies, alternated between teaching Regents Chemistry and serving as a secondary technology support teacher.

Prospects in the (Near) Horizon

Summer 2012 - Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College, will teach CHEM 115 - Introductory Chemistry

I look forward to the day when I can re-join the Tech family.
